India Team Squad 2014 – T20 World Cup 2014

India is unanimously recognized as one of the most powerful cricket teams in the world. The Indian National Cricket Team represents an esteemed cricket odyssey with excellent performances in all the 3 formats of cricket- Test, ODIs and Twenty20. In fact, India was the first T20 World Cup champion.

The Indian National Cricket Team has been honored with the much deserved 1st stature in the international ODI rankings while it ranks 2nd in both the Test and T20 rankings. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the much celebrated captain for Indian Cricket Team in all the 3 formats. Duncan Fletcher is the team coach.

The maiden session of T20 World Cup (2007) had India fighting up to the semis & from there on it reached to the final match defeating Australia. The T20 World Cup 2007 final was played between archrivals India and Pakistan in which- as mentioned earlier- India emerged as the first champion of T20 World Cup.

The 2009 T20 World Cup saw India in Super 8 yet the team could not proceed further that season given its loss to South Africa. The following seasons (2010 & 2012) were not particularly hopeful for India as it couldn’t get to the semis. However, in 2014 T20 World Cup, the Indian National team has already been selected for the Super 10 stage.
